Lawyers' Association for Human Rights of Nepalese Indigenous Peoples (LAHURNIP) participated in the 'Consultation Process Associated with Indigenous Peoples' Participation in the United Nations' held on 14&15 December, 2016 in New York, USA. Dr. Krishna Bhattachan representing LAHURNIP presented statement paper incorporating strong intervention on venues participation, participation modalities, recognition/selection mechanism and selection criteria of Indigenous Peoples in UN.
