Advocate Tharu belongs to the Tharu Indigenous Peoples of western Nepal. He holds bachelor Degree of Law and has an extensive experience of working with human rights and development.
He has done several policy researches on socio-economic and cultural rights including lands. He is a training facilitator on Indigenous Peoples Human Rights and advocacy.
He has held several key positions of different organizations such as Youth Acting For Change Nepal (YAC NEPAL), Forum for Protection of Peoples Right (PPR) Nepal, Center For Social Transformation, Civic Education, Human Rights Awareness & Social Development Centre (HURADC) etc.
Currently, he is serving as a board member of LAHURNIP.
