The Supreme Court has issued an interim order against the installation of a power transmission line tower .
The Nepal Electricity Authority has started installing the tower without compensation and consultation on the land of the affected person in Arjundhara Municipality – 2, Jhapa, Province No.1. The court has ordered Nepal Electricity Authority and relevant government institutions not to carry out the installation without providing compensation.
The 11000 V electric power line is going to be constructed from Khujunabari to Sanischari of Jhapa district. The order was issued on 14 August 2022.
