28th General Assembly of LAHURNIP Formed Executive Board

The 28th General Assembly of LAHURNIP, held on 12 November 2022, has formed a new executive board. Advocate Dinesh Kumar Ghale has been elected as Chairperson of the organization. Advocate Ghale is one of the founding members of the organization, and has constantly been contributing to strengthen Indigenous Peoples' Human Rights advocacy in Nepal and outside.

Advocate Shankar Limbu, a prominent Indigenous human rights lawyer, has been elected as Vice Chairperson, Advocate Bhim Rai as secretary, advocate Hira Bahadur Ghale as Treasurer and other 4 advocates ( Kashi Ram Tharu, Sarju Prashad Chaudhari, Amrita Thebe and Nina Dangol) as members respectively. The executive board composed of 8 members has been elected for the term of 3 years.

The newly elected board members are committed to drive the institution with full energy to achieve the institutional goals and to advance the Indigenous Peoples' human rights advocacy at both national and international levels.
